The Martin and Lewis of Islamic Terror

Anytime you have a collaborative effort, ideas start flying around the room and before long you can’t really remember who said what.  A lot of times, years later people involved in these discussions can’t remember who really had the idea in the first place.   There was a lot of this type of bickering when Martin and Lewis broke up.

It also seems to be what’s happenning now between Iran and al-Qieda.  Ayman al-Zawahri, Osama bin Laden’s deputy, has stepped up his denunciations of Iran in recent messages in part to depict al-Qaida as the Arabs’ top defense against the Persian nation’s rising power in the Middle East.

Al-Zawahri was answering questions from fans on the internet and among other notable news he revealed that there are no women in al-Qaida, but that they have formed a committee to study how to make the organization more friendly to the needs of female terrorists.

Al-Zawahri also condemmed the Iranians for spreading misinformation that Israel was behind the attacks on 9/11.   This kind of reminds me of the old Dave Mason song:

“There  ain’t no good guy.  We are both bad guys.  There’s only you and I and we just disagree.”
