DNC Runs Illegal Ad

with 2 comments

Today the Republican National Committee came down hard on an illegal advertisement that the DNC is running against John McCain. What makes the above advertisement illegal is that the RNC feels that the Dumocrat Nazi Committee discussed the ad first with the Obama and Clinton campaigns. This is a far cry from the legal way of doing things where the Republicans in North Carolina are running attack ads against Obama that McCain personally dislikes. I’m sure now that they have been made aware of McCain’s objections they would like to stop showing their ads, but doing so would be illegal because it would mean conferring with McCain.

Its about time that somebody called the Dums on all the illegal campaign stuff they do after they’ve been so tough on McCain for his illegal movement into federal campaign funding when his campaign was broke and then out when it was doing better. I say this makes everybody even now. McCain didn’t know he was going to be able to raise all the money he has raised as nominee so at the time being federally financed made a lot of sense.

The advertisement above also takes McCain’s comments out of context. In the meeting he also asked the questioneer what he thought and meant that he’d like them to be there 100 years long after the violence in the middle east has stopped and nobody is shooting at our troops or blowing them up with bombs anymore. That’s a totally different meaning. Of course saying he wants the war to go on 100 years sounds stupid out of context. Wanting the troops to stay there for 100 years long after there is peace in the Middle East doesn’t. I hope the American public is smart enough to see through this ad.

  1. Could you ask McCain how long he wants to give before we stop taking causalities there? The reason I ask is the controversy has been framed as what he really said was 100 years is OK if we’re there the way we’re in South Korea and places like that and whether that’s really fine with us or not. What I haven’t heard is how long he thinks we should give it until we get to that point.
