Happy Father’s Day US and Iraq

with 2 comments

With Father’s Day coming on Sunday, I think it is time for the United States to show some pride in our adopted child Iraq and the way it is finally growing to adulthood and spreading its wings.  Like any rebellions teenage, the Iraqis

Like a sensible parent the Bush administration has told the Iraqis we want to keep 60 permanent bases in their country, control over airspace, and the ability to declare if an action from another country is a hostile action against Iraq and attack any country in the name of defending Iraq.  We’ve even threatened to cut off their allowance ($50,000,000,000 in Iraqi money the US is currently holding in the Federal Reserve Bank.

When asking the Iraqis what they’re rebelling against, they seemingly have responded “What do you got.”  They’ve told the US that they want us to leave their room (country) and go it alone. Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki remarked, “The American version of the agreement infringes heavily on the sovereignty of Iraq and this is something that we cannot ever accept.”  :::Snap::: Oh no he di’nt.

With lie-berals screaming that the sky is falling in Iraq, leave it to Senator (And Hamas sympathizer)  Joe Lieberman to be the voice of reason, “The second thing I’d say is the very fact that we’re at a point where the Iraqi leadership wants to negotiate this agreement is a sign of our success in Iraq, which is that Iraq now has a sovereign, independent, self-government.”   It looks like Iraq has finally grown up.
