People Outside This Country Unfairly Helping Obama

You can see the look of distrust on the face of the soldier on the far right of this picture.

One of the great things about American politics is that unlike anywhere else in this world, everybody gets a say in who governs them and changes the Constitution to help and protect them.  I’ve always been in favor of Americans of all stripes having their say no matter how misguided they may be.

However, people who are not living in this country have no idea of the issues that are important to us and should not be allowed to have any say in the outcome of our elections.  Sure peacenicks overseas love the Obama candidacy, but they aren’t the ones who have to worry about being attacked when we are soft on the threats facing our country.

Nowhere, is this more true than in our nation’s military.  These brave men and women are overseas far away from our country’s issues.  They also have pressing issues on their mind like the wars we are fighting and will start fighting in the coming years.  Recently, I have learned that our troops are donating 6 to 1 in favor of Barack Obama.  While I applaud the patriotism of our armed forces I must object to a small group of people overseas highjacking our election by donating to a particular political candidate.

If I’ve learned one thing from Fox News it is that our troops love John McCain and hate Barack Obama so I can only assume that this donation disparity is the result of some uninformed and uneducated soldiers foolishing thinking that Barack Obama is a legitimate Presidential Candidate.  I call on Barack Obama to reject this sort of politics and refuse to accept money from our brave men and women overseas.  They have already given enough to this country.  I further call on the congress to restrict the ability of people overseas from donating to political campaigns in this country.
