Robin Leach Defends McCain

with 10 comments

Robin Leach came to John McCain’s rescue today, defending the Presidential candidate from charges of elitism.  “He probably was confused as to which homes are in his name, his wife’s name, or corporate names,” Leach explained in his familiar, deep British baritone. “In his attempt to be honest, he put his foot in his mouth.”

Leach believes that when dealing with the rich and famous like the McCains, it is quite possible that in an effort to hide property from the IRS, that the super wealthy themselves are unsure of exactly what they own and what a spouse or coporation owns.

Leach, who is not a citizen and ineligible to vote in November is quite friendly with John McCain who he said “tends to answer questions very rapidly without thinking of the correct answers. … I would call it honest confusion.”

As McCain spokesman Brian Rodgers pointed out in the Washington Post, how many homes McCain has and his inability to recall them should be irrelevant anyway because McCain was a POW. The important thing is McCain continues to have champagne wishes and caviar dreams for the country he loves so well.

  1. He was a POW for God’s sake. POWs don’t have to know how many houses they’ve got

  2. especially when they only had one house for five years. Plus, being Panamanian he probably grew up in a mud hut on the edge of the rain forest.

  4. I just got my text message and wondered what you thought about the Joementum? If the Dems win we’re going to wind up with the kind of newly rich elitists in charge who will embarrass us internationally They won’t know which spoon to use for their escargot and they won’t know how to rub Angela Merkel the “right” way. It’s going to be as classless as the Carter/Clinton years. And how did the Chair of the Armed Services Committee arrange to get his son sent into comabt in Iraq just when it would make daddy look oh-so-good in comparison to the McCain and Romney boys. There’s a lot of investigating ahead for you Nate. You should also look in the Brazilian volleyball team. Their victory in and American sport seems very fishy to me.

  5. Hey, did you watch the volleyball match today? So much for “volley is our sport”! Brazil! Brazil! Brazil!

  6. Americans don’t watch the Olympics. We win the Olympics and buy stuff. 🙂

  7. Now that Brazil beat the US in the women’s volleyball championship, I wonder if you, Nate, will include Brazil in your list of 54 things (including The Dark Knight) you boycott. I hope not, because, if you do, this could prove as catastrophic to the Brazilian economy as it was to the French economy when the US changed the name of French fries to Freedom fries. To this day, I don’t know how the French survived.

  8. I will not be boycotting Brazil. I have not really followed these Olympics. I believe that the Olympics should be held in the United States and I only follow the Olympics when they are held here.

  9. That’s a huge relief for my country, Nate!

  10. why are you so over-patriotic?

you can still enjoy the olympics if they’re held in another country.
the point of the olympics is to UNITE the world to compete and display great athleticism.
the olympics are held in multiple countries because WE ARE NOT THE ONLY COUNTRY ON THIS PLANET!
and are you aware that the olympics originated in GREECE?
so if ANY country should singularly be hosting the olympics every year, it would be THEM.
but they are held in multiple countries because the rest of the world are not assholes like yourself.
