Democrats Turning Against Elitist Obama

with 9 comments

One reason for John McCain’s huge lead in the polls is that many traditional meat and potatoes Democrats are turning against Obama’s elitism for John McCain.  McCain is the kind of guy you could see as your neighbor–who you might borrow a rake from or look in on on a hot day if he happenned to be in that particular house.  Obama has an uppity way of putting on airs.

One Hillary Clinton supporter, The Lady Lynn Foresters de Rothschild has called Obama out this week on his elitism.  The Lady de Rothschild was a successful lawyer in the states and had a net worth of over $100 million before marrying into some real money.  Depsite her support for Hillary Clinton, she has been so turned off by Obama’s elitism that she has announced her support for John McCain.

Lady de Rotschild went on to say that Obama is “arrogant” and has a “problem connecting with average Americans” and that she believed McCain would be a better President for “these rednecks” As more and more of these average Americans like Lady de Rothschild come to their senses, you can expect McCain’s lead in the polls to balloon.

I personally find elitism extremely offensive. That is why I insist that my daughter limit her clothes shopping to Target and Walmart where you can get some nice things, but without the pretension of other places. Of course she’s mad at me right now because her grades are terrible this quarter and we had a deal that if she wanted child support she’d keep a B average. I’m not sure she’s going to make it, but you know I really hope she does.

  1. I liked the “if he happened to be in that particular house” bit.
About your long-suffering daughter, at least you stopped focusing on her looks and are now complaining about her grades, for a change.

  2. simply untrue

  3. I don’t think there’s anything in that article that isn’t verifiable in the MSM.

  4. Lola, I would hardly call her long suffering. As for the grades, if she doesn’t bring them up she’s going to have to go a state school and how the Hell is she going to meet a Republican there?

  5. True, Nate, but there’s always college life. Surely she can meet a republican in any university? Or you’re only interested in Ivy league material for her? Considering her looks (mustache et al), maybe you shouldn’t be too picky.

  6. Republicans aren’t worried about that as much as good breeding stock which she has regardless of her mother’s contribution. That mustache is not really noticable.

  7. Hey, Cindy Hensley went to a state school and she did pretty good for herself. And, nate, don’t kid yourself about the mustache. It’s really time to think about electrolysis, or, at least, and Epi-Lady.

  8. Yeah, Steve said it best a while back when he pointed out that fatherly love is blinding you, Nate.
As for Cindy, though she’s currently the second woman I admire the most in the world (the first being, of course, Miss Alaska), I’d be happier if she were a Hershey heir. My religion doesn’t allow me to drink beer.

  9. The endorsement by Lady Lynn Forester de Rothschild will be among McCain’s most valued. Here’s why.
