McCain Campaign to Go Negative

with 2 comments

Overcome with optimism following Sarah Palin’s amazing debate performance where she managed to stand on stage with Joe Biden for the entire 90 minute interview, the McCain campaign has announced a stunning new strategy for the month leading up to the election.

Believing the country is tired of discussing issues like the economy and foreign policy, the McCain campaign has decided to forego its usual optimistic issue oriented advertising.  “We’re going to get a little tougher,” a senior Republican operative said, indicating that a fresh batch of television ads is coming. “We’ve got to question this guy’s associations. Very soon. There’s no question that we have to change the subject here,” said the operative, who was not authorized to discuss strategy and spoke to the Washington Post on the condition of anonymity.

What truely makes this strategical decision so surprising is that up until now the McCain campaign has been known for positive issues oriented advertisements comparing Obama to Paris Hilton and accusing him of calling Sarah Palin a pig.  One things for sure, you can’t tell what mavericky thing these mavericks will do next.

In another equally surprising story the Cubs have been eliminated from Major League Baseball’s postseason.

  1. It doesn’t matter about the Cubs being eliminated, Nate. As you recall, I said it would be the Dodgers in three and I was right. And that’s the important thing. That’s right Nate, Steve is always right about everything. But, lets all sing a cheer for Tampa Bay. IF the White Sox win, Obama wins. If Obama wins, the terrorists win.

  2. Praise Jesus. The White Sox have gone down to a crushing and humiliating defeat. In another month, their number one fan, Barack Osama, will go down to a crushing and humiliating defeat. Only losers and terrorists root for the White Sox. They call their stadium “the cell.” You know where terrorists meet? In their “cells.” I rest my case.
