Obama Supporters in California Play Race Card

with 3 comments

The Obama campaign may well go down in history as the most racist negative campaign in the history of American political campaigns.  Recenltly, The Chaffey Community Republic Women, a GOP women’s organization, in California ran the above picture in their newsletter saying that unlike other Presidents, Obama’s face would be on food stamps.

Diana Fedele, President of the organization said, “I didn’t see it the way that it’s being taken. I never connected. It was just food to me.”  That didn’t stop some overly sensitive Obama types from labeling the newsletter as racist despite Fedele’s previous support for Alan Keyes.  I guess even this image is out of bounds now too. It just seems to me you have to squint really hard to notice the supposedly racist imagery.

  1. You can’t be serious. Right? I mean, you are being sarcastic, aren’t you? Let’s see: this group included close to each food substance stereotypically associated with African Americans, however, she somehow accidentally referenced each substance with illustrations on, no less, a food stamp, which in racist circles is often associated with African Americans?

Either the lady in totally inept, uneducated, ignorant of her surroundings or she intentionally included racial-based associations, knowing that she could claim, “I just put food on there, I didn’t know, and, golly gee, I was just pointing out that Obama will turn our country into a welfare state.”

I refuse to believe anyone is that stupid. But, in this case, we have a choice: either this lady is as dumb as she portrays herself or she is a racist who is too coward to own her own racist sensibilities.
