Now Obama Has His Own Flag–I Bet the Colors Run

with 38 comments

This has really just gone way too far. At an Ohio campaign stop last week Obama gave a speech with a background of American flags which is quite common. However, if you look closely some of the flags are not American flags. The blue field has been changed to show an Obama seal. Yes, there are also stars but have no pattern and they do not add up to 50.  Look at that disgusting thing flying with Old Glory.

I can’t believe that the mainstream media won’t report on this.  Fortunately, we conservatives have radio.  Stalwart reporter Bob Grant immediately called Obama out on the flag saying, “What is that flag that Obama has been standing in front of that looks like an American flag, but instead of having the field of 50 stars representing the 50 states there’s a circle.  Would somebody please tell me what that is?  Is that the O for Obama is that what it is?…Did you notice that Obama is not content with having just several American flags, plain old American flags with 50 states represented by 50 stars…He had the flag painted over and the O for Obama.  Now these things are symptomatic of a man who would like to be a potentate–a dictator.”

This is why Bob Grant is a great journalist and great reporter.  He’s willing to call it like he sees it and not fall in line behind the Obama party line.

What’s really disgusting to me is while watching the least political of American political institutions–a college football game–I saw a state funded university during their halftime show form the Obama flag.  This is beyond disgusting.  This is an abuse of our tax dollars.  If this was a private institution I could understand it, but this was the Ohio State Marching Band–Woody Hayes’ old school.  This must not be tolerated.  The phone number for the Ohio State University athletic department is (614) 292-7280.  Call them and let them know that you do not want federally funded Universities engaging in such blatant politicking.

UPDATE – A reader has just pointed out to me that Obama has also made a flag for campaigning in South Carolina that contains a palm tree and a crescent moon. I don’t think you can get much clearer evidence of his true motives. As for those of you who are saying it is the Ohio state flag–that doesn’t make it right. I don’t care if Obama makes flags for all 50 states–Old Glory is the only flag I need. When will this man stop? Will he be happy before all 50 states have their own flag? What happened to unity?

UPDATE 2 – It turns out Obama is not even the first Democrat to design a flag for himself. This reprehensible and disgusting practice was started by the Clintons who also have their own flag. Something must be done to stop these Democrats and their out of control egos from driving this great country down.

Clinton supporters show off the Clinton flag.

Supporters show their support for the Clintons

  3. You shouldn’t be allowed to blog, you’re a fucking idiot and so is Bob Grant. If he was as you say “a great journalist and great reporter”, he’d be able to identify the OHIO STATE FLAG instead of running his mouth and distinctly ramming his foot in there. It’s fucking idiots like you and Mr. Grant that are what’s wrong with this country.

  4. Good Grief! Get an EDUCATION! The “O’ is for OHIO and the flag is the Ohio State Flag!! Don’t believe it? Go here: http://www.50states.com/flag/ohflag.htm

And anyway…who cares if the Obama Campaign did have its own flag?! If you knew your history (which you obviously don’t), you would realize that having a flag for a campaign is not unusual and should not be threatening to any patriotic American!

Flags have been used for over 4000 years for various reasons, by all sorts of people in various positions, political or otherwise. Knights rode into battle with their own flags to identify them. Prominent families always had a coat of arms/crest and/or a family flag. Flags are used to give information, signals or stand for special symbols or things. Many organizations aud clubs today have their own flags (such as the Girl Scouts or the United Nations).

I don’t know who Bob Grant is, but if he’s a journalist and a reporter, then he is most definately NOT GREAT as he also didn’t know what he should have learned in the 5th grade! And he was stupid enough to rant about it before checking it out. Now THAT’s really not a “great journalist”.

  8. nobody reads your blog anyway, but reporter Bob? Well he just made a serious mistake and I suspect he’ll lose his job over this. In the very least, he’s made a serious jackass of himself in a very public way. This was on CNN. That’s how I found out about it.

  14. I know what you mean about how having our own flag is unpatriotic. Here in Brazil, the leftist party which is in charge, PT, has its own flag, and it’s red with a white star in the middle. Every time I’m carrying this flag I hear right-wing nuts shout “Red is not the color of the Brazilian flag! Our flag is green and yellow!”. But, well, can’t a political party have its own flag, communist-red and all?

  21. It is understandable that mistakes happen whether it be in journalism or in blogs and it is commendable that you addressed the situation. However I have to disagree with you on a few matters. First off, I don’t agree with the statement that the matter of state flags is not known. Even a 3rd grader knows that. I don’t know what state you live in but I’m sure you’ve seen a flag that is different from the American flag fly underneath it on your flag poles. What do people think these flags are? That they put them there because they think it looks cool?
Also I disagree with the statement that Obama should APOLOGIZE and it’s his fault for making this believable. The truth is, from the beginning you people have been willing to believe anything negative about Obama and anything that is said by the McCain campaign (such as Obama is a terrorist or that he is an Arab). You really think Obama should apologize for your gullibility, stupidity, and willingness to believe anything negative about him? Come on, get real.

See this is the kind of thing that gets people in an uproar. Get the facts straight!!!!!!!! The flag is Ohio’s state flag. If Sarah Palin had made the remark it would be understandable, but I see there are more like her in the Republican party.

  26. Please, Gina, I meant no offense — Nate is a very respectable and portly Christian man. Perhaps you are unfamiliar with our family tree. I am married to Nate’s sister. I love Nate like a brother, but he has never forgiven me for his sister’s conversion to Catholicism or our raising our children in the Faith. Emily is Nate’s only child, a lovely, if portly girl, who worships — fi you can believe this — Barack Obama. Nate is, naturally, sick about this and hopes he can find a suitable stepmother for the child (read between the lines of the Sound of Music post, but don’t tell Nate Julie Andrews was a CATHOLIC nun). For awhile, he had his heart set on Jamie Lynn Spears, but that didn’t work out too well. Then he was all about Monica Goodling, but she may be going to jail. That’s why I think it’s great the way you and Lola are competing for Nate’s affections. OF course, I don’t know much about you and Lola is a Catholic from a third world country. I think he could do a lot better with a few less donuts and a few more hair plugs. Family. That’s what makes America great.

  28. Uhn, Steve, I’m an ATHEIST from a third world country! And besides, I’m happily married, not to mention I’m old enough to be Nate’s grandma (I’m 41).
No, I don’t want Nate for myself, though he does look cute in that drawing of his with the American flag. I just think that, since he’ll have to move when Obama wins, why not come to Brazil? Even Republicans are welcome here. And I know Nate doesn’t like Catholics, but here we aren’t very serious Catholics. It’s not like people go to Church or anything like that. Sure, people become more Catholic whenever his Holy Highness (I mean the Pope, not Bush) visits, but that never lasts more than a week. Almost 20% of the population is composed of evangelical Christians nowadays. I’m sure Nate can find true love here.
