Weekend With The Beloved Leader

with 4 comments

weekendatkims1Photos released last week by the North Koreans to show that Kim Jong Il was alive and making appearances appear to be digital fakes according to some observers.  The beloved leader stopped making public appearances in mid-August, but his disappearance didn’t become a matter of concern until September 9th which was the 60th anniversary of the North Korean State.  Officials eventually revealed that he had suffered a stroke.

On Thursday the state-controlled North Korean media announced that Mr Kim had attended a musical performance at which he “waved back to the cheering performers and congratulated them on their presentation”, but they made know mention of the two mysterious American tourists who never left the leader’s side.

The two Americans reportedly have been inseparable from the North Korean leader and have taken him to the beach including a rather wild water skiing adventure.

  1. Give me a break. Yes, the picture is convincing – Until you realize that those shorts are from 1987. Can’t put anything past a full-fledged Cosmo Girl.

  2. Nice catch–I just figured that North Korean fashions were that far behind.

  4. Wow, looking closely if that’s not Andrew McCarthy, the resemblance is pretty freaky. Does anybody know if he was in North Korea?
