Was Hudson Crash the Work of al-Qaeda?

Today, the United States was rattled by the crash of a US Airways jetliner with 150 people on board.  Fortunately, there were no fatalities, but it makes you wonder if this was perhaps another al-Qaeda attack on New York City.   Investigators are centering their investigation on the pilot’s report that his plane struck a flock of geese.  I believe they will find out that is exactly what happened.  The question remains though was this coincidence or something more sinister.

As Alfred Hitchcock showed in the movie The Birds, our four-feathered friends can quickly turn into nature’s perfect little killing machines.  It is not a very big stretch to see al-Qaeda attempting to strike at our skies through these winged menaces.  Since 1988 over 200 people have been killed when their plane struck oncoming birds.  In 2007 alone there were over 7000 bird strikes on planes.  This number has been increasing lately and the answer is undoubtedly Islamic extremism.

Rance Hungerford of Animal Watch USA  issued the following statement, “Birds do not have a political ideology.  Any use of them in carrying out terrorist attacks is abhorrent and not something that civilized society should tolerate.”  The good news is that nobody was injured in today’s plane crash, but we must look into building some sort of bird shield around our cities to prevent al-Qaeda from using these kinds of tactics.  I have my doubts that Barrack Obama is ready for such an attack from the very skies of our brave country.

  1. It is a strange coincidence that Osama bin Laden’s new taped message was released right before this goose attack. The only fowl I trust has been breaded and deep fried. I do admire Scrooge McDuck, but we need to remember that he is only a cartoon character.

  3. At about the two minute mark you can see US Air Flight 1549 skid into the Hudson. Then, you can see the passengers climb out onto the wings. This video is 10 minutes long. Actual video of Flight 1549 skidding into the Hudson.
