Obama Poses Threat to Third Amendment Rights

Soldiers such as these will soon be demanding rooms if Obama has his way.

Soldiers such as these will soon be demanding rooms if Obama has his way.

The honeymoon of Barrack Obama has begun with Conservative and Liberal pundits alike sitting down to sup at his table and in so doing anoint him as our country’s savior.  I have outright refused to partake in such ridiculous shows of obsequiousness and instead intend to use this very blog to keep America informed of the threat presented by Mr. Obama.

I truly believe that it is Barrack Obama’s intention to rob this country of the third amendment protections we hold so dear.  Obama has at times spoken favorably of the second amendment and proclaimed that he wasn’t running for President to take away anybody’s guns, but he has remained strangely silent on his position on the third amendment.  Unfortunately, I believe I am the only reporter with the guts to question him on this.

The third amendment is a necessary protection born out of our time as an English colony.  The amendment protects us from having to billet soldiers.  We are not required in anyway to quarter troops.  While both the Madison and Polk administrations pushed the boundaries of this law I believe Obama represents the biggest threat yet.  This is why he is so anxious to remove soldiers from the middle east–so that he can immediately place them in our homes eating our food and challenging the virtue of our women.

I urge those of you who care about this sacred right as much as I do to get involved.  Write your congressman (or if need be congresswoman) and let them know that you are not going to surrender these rights without a fight.  Join a pro-third amendment club and let your voice be heard from sea to shining sea.  We will not billet your soldiers President Obama.

  1. Is this serious? Do you really believe this, or is this a joke, and I just missed the punchline?

  2. Great attitude. I hope you’ve got a big house for when Obama wants the Marines to spend the night.

  3. While it’s tempting to make fun of conservatives, they’re far too easy a target for any serious satirist.

  4. And the basis for this fear is…..?

You know it was W who first pushed for the John Warner National Defense Authorization Act in 2007 which included a section titled “Use of the Armed Forces in major public emergencies.” This section provided that “The President may employ the armed forces to restore public order in any State of the United States the President determines. Although Congress wiped it out in 2008, he attached an Executive Order saying the Executive branch was not bound by it.

So I am curious what the basis is for your fear of Obama violating the 3rd Amendment is, but know that his predecessor opened the door for him to do so. Declare anything a national emergency and that’s it, roll in the troops.

  5. I just want to say as a Soldier of the United States Army. I will not be a Military Member to this standard I enlisted to PROTECT the US Constitution and the American way of life. An act witch removes any RIGHTS makes them an enemy of the United States.

The breakdance party of Barrack Obama has begun with Conservative and Liberal pundits alike sitting down to ‘get on up’ at his table and in so doing anoint him as our country’s disco savior. I truly believe that it is Barrack Obama’s intention to rob this country of the words protections we hold so dear. I agree alot. 'President' Obama (if that is his real name) has also never publicly mentioned the following:
    Spandex running shorts
    fancy ketchup,
The candles that claim to be made of beeswax but I looked it up and they really arent,
The AMERICAN RIGHT to respond to questions with 'No you'; or 'You'r mom',
    Mowing Lawns,
    Other.

I am therefore the only anonymous commenter with enough GUTS to make the claim:
Obama is against everything he doesnt explicitly scream support for! Never heard him talk about how great waterslides are? He must be against it!
You've got guts to say so!
    yay!

    Is this a joke post?

  9. It’s quite simple Dennis. Glenn Beck has done an excellent job of showing how Obama is building up a secret army. The Secret Army is going to have to stay someplace and most of the barracks in this country are being used by the actual army. The simple solution is to demand everyday citizens give up their homes. Our founding fathers fought hard to ensure that we wouldn’t have to quarter soldiers and now Obama wants to turn back the clock 200+ years on that right we hold so dear.

  10. Wow. You guys took a pretty funny piece about the Third Amendment (“get your three-corner hats and get out of my log cabin!”) and made it into a serious political discussion.
