That’s Right Nate

Thoughts from a right thinker.

Eric Cantor and Me

with 14 comments

Today Eric Cantor released a Youtube video saluting himself and the other Republican members of the House for not voting for Obama’s stimulus plan.  I thought it was great and frankly it inspired me.  Here’s Mr. Cantor’s video:

Now that I know that Mr. Cantor is an Aerosmith fan, I chose appropriate music for my response as well:

  1. Did you really put that together yourself? Tell the truth, Nate. It’s great, in any case.

  2. Yep, it took me all of an hour. Truth be told it was an hour I didn’t have, but when the muse calls to you, you dare not ignore it.

  3. Nate, that was fantastic.

I wonder if the liberals will come up with some way to twist your message?

Ah, my heart’s not in it. Great job. Can you make it a video response to the original?

  4. I tried to make it a response, but I need Cantor’s people to approve it as a video response. I definitely have my fingers crossed.

  5. I hope you don’t mind, but I embedded it on my blog – with full credit and linkage, of course. This must go viral. It’s too good to hide under a bushel…or something like that.

  8. Wonderful response, Nate! Congrats! But isn’t this video dangerous for your reputation? Some people might mistake you for a liberal after this…

  9. I don’t see how anybody could see a video congradulating the Republicans on standing up to these special interest groups portrayed in the video as showing that I’m a liberal.

  10. You might notice the the Cantor video was yanked. The copyright owners and Aerosmith told YouTube to take it down. Thanks for your comment at my place. Even if the video left ya cursing? heh It appears your video is gone too?

  11. I knew it was just going to be a matter of time :(. You know if Steven Tyler has a probelm with me I wish he’d just say it to my face and not attack my art.

  12. Looks like your video is back. I think they are more concerned with political parties using their songs. Besides and as noted by another comment, yours is more of selling point for liberalism – excepting the note on the end. But, now, mine has disappeared into the unknown YouTube void? lol

  13. Oh my I hope nobody took my video as advocating liberalism. I was just trying to show some of the most excessive liberal policies that the Republicans stood up too. Things like feeding the hungry and fixing roads when they could be giving us bigger tax cuts. That’s what Bush would have done.

  14. […] Created the salute to the GOP congress that unlike Eric Cantor’s Aerosmith didn’t ban […]
