Is Sarah Palin Too Beautiful?

with 4 comments

Too beautiful to be President

The real reason John McCain lost the election in November became just a little bit clearer < thanks to a new study out of the University of South Florida. The well-researched study took 133 undergraduates and had them write a few lines about either Palin or actress Anagelina Jolie. Half of the participants were asked to write about appearance and the other half were assigned to write their general opinion. Then they were asked to write about who they would vote for in the upcoming election. The study found that the people who wrote about Palin, rated her much higher for her looks than for her personality and competence. The obvious conclusion is that Palin’s stunning appearance distracts people from her competence.

This may also explain why other attractive women like Monica Goodling, Michelle Bachman, and Katherine Harris have had so much trouble getting people to notice their political acumen and not their breathtaking beauty. This at least partially explains why the Democrats have had such a proclivity for bowsers like Claire McCaskill and Katherine Sebelius–woof woof. As Americans we need to grow up and learn to start taking attractive women seriously. There is no reason why an attractive conservative Christian woman between the ages of 21 and 28 couldn’t become a CEO, The President of the United States, or the first lady of self-storage for the entire Great Lakes region.

It is also time for so-called feminists start making more of an effort. A little makeup and some sexy clothes never hurt anybody. If we get to the point where only ugly women can be taken seriously in politics, attractive women will consciously choose to be less pretty and that would truly be a tragedy.

  2. This is crap… well researched? 133 undergrads… that’s nothing, besides… what about the political bias of the people. Most college people are liberal… Jolie is a movie heroine. She plays a strong character. She is “make believe”. She is also liberal and married to Brad Pit who is also libertal….. This researched was stacked in favor of Jolie.

  3. Oh Dave, I think I may not have explained it well enough. The results explained that a big impediment to her getting elected were here stunning looks and not her personality, experience, or politics. Even the liberals won’t deny that. I’m just impressed they got 130+ college students to take the time to fill out the questionnaire. They must have had a hacky sack there or something.
