75% of Oklahomans Can’t Name First President

A recent survey of Oklahoma’s public high school students commissioned by the Oklahoma Conference of Public Affairs for Constitution Day has troubled many who saw the poor results of Oklahoma’s children as indicative of a deeper problem.   Some on the left will tell you that social studies is the red headed step child of education.  High stakes testing in reading, writing, math, and science means that social studies is given the same importance as health class or library in many school districts.   I believe it’s simply a case of lazy teachers.  Take the test yourself and then check your results below:

  1. As a former Miss Tulsa, I resent your implying that people in Oklahoma aren’t that smart. The largest scholarship organization for women is Miss America. In the last 20 years, Oklahoma has produced more Miss Americas than any other state. So their.
