GOP Fact Finding Goes Awry

with 5 comments

I’m sure by now you have probably heard about Michael Steele ringing up a $1,946.25 tab at Voyeur West Hollywood, a bondage-themed nightclub featuring topless women dancers imitating lesbian sex.  However, like most stories brought to you by the left wing media in this country, what’s clearly missing is context.  Right now, one of the number one issues in this country is removing the Don’t Ask Don’t Tell regulations that many liberals feel keep gays out of the military unfairly.  What Michael Steele did was clearly a fact finding mission.

The military is still smarting from scandals at Gitmo and Abu Ghraib.  We certainly don’t need another one.   We have been accused of being everything, but a child of God by bleeding hearts who don’t believe that the military has treated prisoners in a humane fashion.   What better place to find out if homosexuals can do a better job of restraining somebody in a secure and efficient way while still being humane than at a lesbian bondage club?

Why doesn’t the gay community and the liberals who continue to complain about how prisoners are treated defend Michael Steele?  Is it because he is a Republican?  I have no doubt that if Dick Durbin was doing this same research, he’d be called a hero.   There is no end to the useful information that Michael Steele could have observed in that club that will help protect American service men and women in the future.  That used to count for something in this country.  How dare we forget those who have given so much to this country now when they need us the most.

Ricky Martin’s Gay?!?!

with 4 comments

Though I continue to see it as one of the gravest threats to our country, I don’t really know what the gay agenda is all about.   Needless to say I was shocked and dismayed to learn that they had gotten to Ricky Martin too.   Since he first burst on the scene with Menudo, I always thought that Ricky Martin had the machismo and Latin charisma of a young Cesar Romero. To find out that one of the music industry’s most eligible men is actually gay is shocking to say the least.

“I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man,” Martin wrote this week on his official web site. “I am very blessed to be who I am.”

There is no telling what other artists we thought were straight will come out in the days and weeks to come as the homosexual agenda continues to sweep across this continent in a rainbow colored wave of debauchery, but you can be sure that will keep you updated.

Sarah Palin Fires Harry Reid

with 3 comments

I have to hand it to Sarah Palin.  Speaking to a crowd that organizers estimated at well over 250,000 in Arizona today, the former Alaskan governor dismissed Harry Reid like he was an Alaska State Trooper and she was still running the Kodiak State.  Palin, who is perhaps best known for firing herself last year to promote her book and her new Alaska reality show, let Harry Reid know in no uncertain terms, “You’re fired.”

Tensions between Republicans and Democrats have been strained since the 2008 election left no party with a mandate for their own agenda for the first time in 8 years, but as Palin assured the crowd, “what we have here is a difference of opinion, but that’s OK because that’s nothing that a good old fashioned election can’t fix.”

Like many Americans, I would love to see the American people given a chance to vote for Sarah Palin.  I don’t see anyway  that such a knowledgeable and charismatic leader could fail to sway the American people, but unfortunately with Obama as President we are left with only these infrequent speeches to rally us.

Although Palin headlined the event, Nevada Governor Jim Gibbons was equally eloquent in railing against the big spending Obama-Reid-Pelosi gravy train and in favor of the kind of family values economic conservatism that have been the hallmark of his time as Nevada Governor.

The optimism throughout the crowd of 500,000 was palpable and one speaker actually called it “a Woodstock you’ll remember”.   Perhaps, the keynote for the day came from Frank Helms of San Diego who said “”I don’t want anything bad to happen to Harry except for him to lose his job.  I don’t think he’s a bad man. He just ended up carrying Obama’s water and that’s gonna do him in.”

The amazing spirit of peace and harmony this afternoon was shared by many others.   Some people said they hoped Obama and Pelosi would die peacefully in their sleep while others simply wished for a long illness that incapacitate the Democrat leaders and forced them to resign.  To see a million people filled with patriotism and optimism is something that I never thought I’d see in my lifetime.

Beware of American Girl Place

with 2 comments

You may have noticed an unusual lack of posts from me the past 2 days.   This is because of an overwhelming outrage I am feeling over my treatment at the Chicago American Girl Place on Michigan Avenue.  My friend Tom and I showed up at 4PM for what was advertised as the biggest tea party event in Chicago.   This seemed like the perfect place to let lose my pent up rage over the passing of the health care bill.   I had a Stop the Socialist Takeover of Medicine Sign that shows Obama hitting a doctor with a beer bottle from behind.   Tom had a What Part of Constitusion Don’t You Understand sign.

I should have known something was up when the women at the front door wouldn’t let us bring our signs inside.   I have met some very charming and attractive honeys at Tea Party events from places like Smart Girl Politlics so American Girl seemed like a natural.  In fact, the women here were younger.  However, none of them seemed to be very passionate about politics.  When we finally got up to the rally, I saw we were the only two guys there.  Ordinarily I would have loved my chances, but most of the women had small children with them and again they didn’t seem very passionate about their politics.

Finally, an author came to speak.   She wanted to talk about some girl named Molly who grew up in World War II.   As she indoctrinated the room full of impressionable young children with stories of the mid-1940s and the glories of the new deal, Tom and I immediately took action.  We began to challenge her supposed facts and remind her that FDR was an avowed socialist who caused the Great Depression with his massive spending.  The American Girl people actually called the police on us.  As we were escorted out, a rather attractive red haired woman with a rather homely daughter reached into her purse.   I thought she was giving me her phone number, but instead she sprayed both Tom and I in the eyes with pepper spray.

I believe that the whole tea party rally was a ruse to indoctrinate us.  This was unlike any tea party I had been at before and I can say that I was duped. I warn any other tea partiers to avoid American Girl.  They are most definitely a liberal front.

Let’s Overturn Outdated 17th Amendment

with 5 comments

When it comes to Constitutional amendments, I have always been a big believer that our Constitution should begin with the first and end with the second amendment.  If you have the freedom of speech and a gun to defend that freedom, what other amendment do you really need?  Most of the other amendments seem to defend criminals or give special rights to women and minorities like voting and not being slaves.   Lately, I’ve found a kindred spirit in Representative Louis Gohmert (R-TX) and I completely support his desire to end the 17th amendment.

In a press release today, Gohmert said “Ever since the safeguard of State legislatures electing U.S. Senators was removed by the 17th Amendment in 1913, there has been no check or balance on the Federal power grab for the last 97 years.”

The 17th amendment changed the election of senators from the responsibility of the state legislatures to a direct vote by the people of the state.   The process for changing this amendment is not easy, but I can think of no finer show of the democratic spirit than people lining up coast to coast to cast their ballots for a Constitutional amendment so that they would not have to cast their vote for Senator.   Gohmert decried “The usurpation of the rights of the states of the people perpetrated by the U.S. House last night

There is no better way to give the American people back the power that the House of Representatives has taken from them, then by taking away the people’s vote for Senator.  I have mentioned before that despite his Democrat party affiliation that I am a big fan of Illinois Senator Roland Burris who was chosen by the Governor instead of by the people.   The time has come for the people to stand up and let their voices be heard that they no longer wish to vote for Senator.

Hateful Mimes Want Immigrants to Take Over Country

with 7 comments

When Roy Beck went to the Immigration rally in Washington, DC yesterday he did so carrying the hopes and aspirations of the 25 million Americans who are out of work and universally blame illegal immigration for the loss of their livelihoods.  As the financial services and biotechnology industries shed American workers, you can be sure it is illegal immigrants from Mexico who will be willing to develop a new drug or invest a portfolio for $5 an hour paid under the table.   The American worker can’t keep up with that and it was with that grim reality in mind that Roy Beck went to the immigration rally to demand that illegal immigrants go home.

Unfortunately, Roy was immediately set upon by 5 mimes.   Mimes have always terrified me.  I was scared of clowns as a children and with their strange silent ways, I have always regarded mimes as clown ninjas.   However, the mimes who harassed Roy were not even good at their jobs.  In the video one of the mimes can clearly be seen using a cell phone.   Whatever happened to Omerta–the mime code of silence?   In fact, one of the main ways that the mimes harassed Mister Beck was with whistles.   Good mimes would never drown out somebody with noise and I call upon whatever union or guild licenses mimes to disbar the ones at the protest.

According to Anne Manetas of Beck’s organization NumbersUSA, a group of female mimes threatened Beck and his bodyguards with “constant efforts at crushing physical intimidation” instigated by “blowing hateful whistles” and waving balloons.   Speaking as somebody who has been smacked by a balloon before, I can understand how Beck may have felt it necessary to send his bodyguard into action to protect his well-being.   Yet, somehow in this upside down post Obama world we live in, it was the bodyguard who was arrested for assault after the mimes repeatedly attacked him getting their face makeup on his elbow and forcing him to use a knife to defend himself from the balloons.

If you believe in the cause of justice, this travesty cannot be allowed to stand.   I call for a Department of Justice investigation into these hateful mimes and their oppressive balloons and hateful whistles.  As Americans, we must stand up for what is right and demand that the security guard be set free.

Is It Time for Another Inquisition?

with one comment

I am not a Catholic and I have often put down Papists because their beliefs in transubstantiation, the Pope, as well as their use of idols and statues dooms them to eternal damnation.   However, I have always enjoyed the papists’ belief in a top down authority based religion.   Catholics always knew where they stood because the Pope set policy and all the Catholics followed the company line–kind of like Dick Cheney in the Bush White House.

Nowadays, the Catholic church seems very diverse and espousing contradictory edicts at the same time.  The Pope has not condemned an attempt to make homosexuality in Uganda a capital crime and a Catholic school in Mississippi just canceled their prom over fears that a lesbian couple might attend.  The obvious way to read this is that the Catholic church remains steadfastly against gays.   Unfortunately, the whole matter is clouded by the revelation of gay sex at the Vatican.  According to the Guardian,  “Angelo Balducci, a Gentleman of His Holiness, was caught by police on a wiretap allegedly negotiating with Thomas Chinedu Ehiem, a 29-year-old Vatican chorister, over the specific physical details of men he wanted brought to him.”

The thing that’s really confusing is with the latest health care legislation.  After the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops condemned Health Care legislation for making it easier for women to get an abortion, the Catholic Health Association, prominent Catholic theologians, and “60 leaders of religious orders representing 59,000 Catholic nuns” broke with the bishops and called for the passage of the Senate legislation.  Now ordinarily in a situation like this, the obvious choice is for the schism to lead to the formation of two churches.   However, the Catholics like other Italian organizations such as the mafia have never been very fond of allowing members to leave.

The US Conference of Catholic Bishops was quick to point out that the signatories don’t speak for all nuns.  After all there are over 68,000 nuns in the United States leading one to think that nearly 10,000 nuns agreed with the Bishops instead.   As the USCCB correctly points out, they don’t speak for every nun in the United States.  Then again, they are the leaders of the orders and nuns take a vow of obedience.  Like I said, it gets confusing.

I asked Congressman Jack Kimble (R-CA), himself a Catholic, to explain the Bishop’s objections and he did like this, “Last year, there were nearly 40,000 deaths caused by drunk driving.  You need only 3 things to drunk drive–a car, alcohol, and a road.  I have been opposing Obama’s stimulus packages because they encourage road building, which can be used to drive drunk.  The Catholic Bishops feel much the same way about health care.  Health care could make abortions more easily attainable so naturally they’re against them.”

I can see where the Catholics are coming from.   Even if 100 people have their lives saved because of access to health care, if one woman is able to use federal money to get an abortion it would not be right.  This is of course different than the views of the Catholic Chuch on their current sex scandals in Europe where they believe that a couple of hundred child abusers should be an indictment of the other priests in the country.

The only way to settle this out is for the Pope to decide what is and what isn’t Catholic dogma.  After all, he’s infallible when it comes to dogma.  Once he has that figured out, the Catholics need another inquisition so that orthodoxy can be maintained.   I only hope it happens before it’s too late.
