Gore’s Divorce Proves Dems Have No Values

with 3 comments

Al Gore and Tipper Gore announced yesterday that they will be separating.  The main reason seems to be that he’s spending life on the road while she’s spending her life in Nashville.   I’ve seen enough Journey videos are 90s hair metal power ballads to know that the road ain’t not place to raise a family.  Still, if this scandalous break up does one thing it’s to show the difference between Democrats and Republicans.

Democrats love to pretend that Republicans don’t have a monopoly on family values.   Oh really?  Look at Republican congressman from Larry Craig, to Tom Ensign, to Jack Kimble, to David Vitter–what do they all have in common?  Their women stood by them because they had built their marriages on strong family values.  Even Mark Sanford’s wife gave him a few weeks before breaking up when it became clear that the South Carolina had found true love elsewhere.

Contrast that to Al Gore whose marriage collapsed without so much as a hint of an underage paige or an airport bathroom tryst.   Marriage needs to be built on stronger stuff and that’s the sort of commitment to God and to each other that Republicans make when they get married.  Now, I know some of you will say, “But Nate you’re divorced”.   Keep in mind I fought that divorce with every fiber of my being.  It was my independent or at least moderate wife who chose to end things.

  2. I think it was their long standing disagreement regarding censorship in music that did them in. I have to point towards Tipper’s communist crusade against freedom of speech for musicians as the main cause of the split. Well, that plus Al has put on a couple of pounds.

  3. Yeah, I think he’s decided the best way to save rain forests was to avoid eating all vegetation.
