The Ground Zero Mosque

with 6 comments

New York Dolls is just one of the businesses being asked to allow a Mosque as their neighbor

First off, I want to go on record as saying that not every Muslim is a terrorist.  Half the Muslims in this country are peaceful, patriotic, and love this country as much as anybody else.   The problem we have is with the other half.    I remember when I was a child growing up in the civil rights movement when there were marches and the spectre of integration, my dad would frequently tell me, “I have no problem with most black people.  It’s just these uppity ones who aren’t happy with their own neighborhoods, they want to move into mine.”   He really did love black people, but he wanted them to be sensitive to the effect that moving into a white neighborhood would have on property values and the neighborhood itself.   He wouldn’t deny their right to move into our neighborhood, he just wanted them to be sensitive to our needs and be good neighbors by not moving into our neighborhood.   It seems nowadays we are asking Muslims to do the same thing.

The events of 9/11 were horrific and remain forever on our national conscience.   Putting a mosque of all things within 2 blocks of this site would be like building a federal cemetery on Robert E. Lee’s farm.   Can you imagine how the South would react if we did that or put federal buildings along General Sherman’s path of destruction.   Even as we triumphed over the Indians to claim America as our birthright, we would never build a tribute to our greatest Presidents on sacred Indian burial ground.   Can’t the Muslims show the same restraint?  Frankly, I’m still waiting for them to apologize to me for 9/11.

Now, defenders of so called freedom of religion point to the first amendment of the Constitution as proof that the Muslims have a right to build a community center on their own private property, but that’s not what the founding fathers wanted.  You write a Constitution to protect your rights–not to protect the rights of people you don’t agree with.  Our founding fathers to promise people freedom to choose their own faith, but they meant popular religions.   Do you want to be a Baptist or a Southern Baptist?  Take your pick.

New Yorkers don’t seem to be bothered by this potential terrorist training camp in their midst.  Fortunately, the rest of the country has come forward to demand that peaceful Muslims refudiate this Mosque.  Even Democrat Harry Reid weighed in against building the Mosque in this location.  Nobody in this country knows more about where new construction is tasteful than Las Vegas’ own Senator.   I have to wonder how

Does Miss USA Have Terrorist Ties?

with 5 comments

Last night, Michigan’s Rima Fakih was crowned as Miss Universe.   Ms. Fakih was born, not in this country, but in Lebanon. As somebody who never misses a chance to spending an evening in my pajamas watching a pageant, I was both crushed and disappointed.   In the past, beauty pageants have always been the way that we have found those rare women who could speak for their generation.    Amazing women like Phyllis George, Sarah Palin, and Carrie Prejean first came to the public’s attention through their beauty, but it was the pageant that gave them a platform for their intellect.

I thought we had found a worthy successor last night, when Miss Oklahoma’s Morgan Elizabeth Woolard came out with a statement in favor of States Rights worthy of Alabama Governor George Wallace himself.   Ms. Woolard responded to a question from the Mexican on The Office by saying, “I’m a huge believer in states’ rights. I think that’s what’s so wonderful about America.”

As a blonde, Woolard seems a likely candidate to be a future anchor on Fox News.   Unfortunately, Ms. Fakih’s career choices seem considerably  limited.   As Daniel Pipes points out, Muslim women have won 5 beauty pageants in 5 years making one believe that there must be at least some sort of affirmative action at work here.

Rima Fakih could best be described as a homely woman.   One need only look at her long shapely legs, her curvaceous figure, her big doe eyes, her supple lips, her thick flowing hair to see why so many Muslim women wear burkas.  OK, maybe that’s going to I’ve been staring at her picture for the last 20 minutes and she seems to grow on you a little, but like any femme fatale you know it starts off with a wink and ends with you wearing explosive shoes onto an airplane.   OK, according to her blog she’s supporting Republican Michael Bouchard for Governor of Michigan—Oh my she’s a Republican too.   I think I can cure this woman.

Woman Who Won’t Eat Bacon Blocked from Foster Parenting

with 4 comments

For all of you who believe that life without bacon has no meaning you have a friend in Maryland.  Contemporary Family Services, a Maryland-based private foster agency authorized by the state to place children with foster parents has rejected the application of former foster child Tashima Crudup.  Ms. Crudup was a former foster child herself who wanted to be a foster parent because having been a foster child herself she wanted to give back.

Unfortunately, Ms. Crudup is a Muslim.  Now neither CFS nor myself have any problem with Ms. Crudup’s religion no matter that it damns her to eternal damnation in the afterlife.  What CFS has a problem with is that as a Muslim Ms. Crudup does not eat pork.   Contemporary Family Services does not want to put a child into that environment where he will miss out on the simple joys of childhood like a hotdog at the ballpark, bacon as part of a complete breakfast, or a bacon double cheeseburger served on a Krispy Kreme at a State Fair.

Some misguided politically correct fools will certainly consider this prejudice, but I would feel the same way if Ms. Crudup were a vegetarian or a Jew.  Now, In defense of Ms. Crudup she has promised to raise any children who were placed with her in their own religious tradition.  However, she never promised to let them eat pork.

So many of my favorite childhood memories are tied up with pork and I would never want to deny any child those same experiences.  But is pork good for children? Absolutely.  Today’s pork is leaner than ever and it’s got the nutrient punch that your child needs for hours of video games or just sitting back and watching tv.

Candy Canes and Lumps of Coal

with 5 comments

With Christmas nearly approaching, I thought it was time to award some candy canes for those on Nate’s nice list and lumps of coals for those on Nate’s naughty list.

-A candy cane for President Bush for remembering the true meaning of the season by pardoning Isaac Toussie who was guilty of mortgage fraud. Is that even a crime anymore?

-A lump of coal for the UAW who this week added Toyota to the list of victims to their greed and excessive contracts this year.

-A candy cane to KBR for providing our troops with the things they need.

-A lump of coal to The Salvation Army. I still want my gold coins back.

-A candy cane for Saddleback Mountain Church founder Rick Warren for his love of gay people despite not wanting them to get married and for his extensive collection of original Broadway cast recordings.

-A lump of coal to the Global Warming alarmists. I’m freezing my butt off in Chicago and I can only assume its because we’ve cut carbon emissions too much.

-A candy cane for Martin Scorsese whose Taxi Driver is a Christmas tradition at my house.

-A lump of coal to Barrack Obama who announced he was going to use Abraham Lincoln’s Bible for his inauguration. OK, as a secret Muslim I know he doesn’t have his own, but couldn’t he pick a President who didn’t drive us into the only Civil War this country has had…yet?

-A candy cane to our non-terrorist Muslim readers. For those of you who renounce terrorism I wish to extend the olive branch by wishing you a very Merry Christmas.

-A candy cane to the readers of this blog. The boycotts, the political movement, and the return to Conservative values would not be possible without you all.

Tom the Bartender on Politics

with 9 comments

I stopped off at a local watering hole for a beer on the way home from work today and I got to discuss the election with the bartender.  Tommy has been working at the bar for a decade now.  He’s in his middle-thirties.   His wife is a secretary and he’s got two kids.

“Hey Tommy,” I said

“Nate–how’re you doing?” he replied

“I don’t know Tommy.  I’m getting worried about this election,” I said as he poured my a draft.

“I know Nate, but people will come around.  Afterall, they’re Americans” He smiled

“You can’t stand either candidate can you?” I asked

“No man, I’m McCain all the way,” he said whiping off the bar

“McCain?” I demanded “You said he was a closet Democrat, a traitor, and he was embarrassed by his black daughter.”

“Me?” He answered “Oh, that was the primaries.  Now, I can’t stand Obama.  If we elect Obama that’ll be the death of Israel.”

“You really think so?” I asked.

“Oh yeah he’s friends with the PLO and all these terrorists.  Israel will go up in flames.  The media won’t tell you that though,” he stated.

“He sure gets good press,” I agreed.

“Damn right, its cause the media is controlled by Jews,” he said, “Except for Fox.  At least they’re fair and balanced.”

“I don’t know about that,” I said.

“Oh yeah and you know he’s going to raise taxes,” he said pouring me another beer.

“Yeah, I’m not looking forward to that.  How much more do you think you’ll be paying?” I asked.

“Me…well the boss pays me under the table.  I don’t actually pay taxes, but I know they’ll go up,” he replied disgustedly.

“Those Democrats are deadly for the economy,” I nodded.

“He’s a muslim you know,” He said.

“Some people sure think so,” I answered.

“Barack isn’t an American name not like Tommy or Nate,” he said, “he’s got to be a Muslim.”

“Got any facts to back you up,” I asked.

“Facts?  Anybody can lie about fact.  I don’t trust him.  My gut says he’s a Muslim.  That’s why he wants to destroy Israel,” he said as he poured a beer for another customer.

“You really seem concerned about Israel,” I interjected.

“And the economy,” he said, “He’ll drive that down.”

“Isn’t it already down?” I asked.

“Yeah,” he said, “You know why?  You know who controls Wall Street?”

“Jews,” I said.

“Yeah Jews,” he spat, “McCain is our only chance to get this thing fixed.  You want change we can believe in not just change that destroys the country”

“You make a lot of sense Tommy,” I said, “McCain could really use you on the campaign.”

“That’d be great.  I still have my band.  It’d be great exposure,” he laughed.

I flipped Tommy a fiver and made my way out of the bar.  He’s just the salt of the Earth.  The kind of people who built this country and that we need to start listenning too.  They’re not confused with facts or reality.  They’ve got their gut and isn’t that what our country needs now more than ever.

Obama’s Secret Muslim Funding Proven

with 7 comments

Recently, news has surfaced that foreign-born and non-citizen muslims are contributing money to try to influence America’s next election.    While it is not wrong for Muslim citizens of the US to donate it is illegal for non-citizens to donate and it is illegal to channel foreign money through immigrants (citizens or not).   Florida businessman Harry Sargeant III, chief executive for I.O.T.C. has “bundled” at least $50,000.00 for the election from a variety of foreign-born sources.    These sources include:   Ibrahim Marabeh (a store manager for RITE-AID) and his wife;  Nadia and Shawn Abdalla (owners of Twilight Hookah Lounge famous for it SEX ON THE BEACH tobacco blend) who are not even registered voters and Sargeant has also received contributions for his candidate from a California Taco Bell shift supervisor among many others.    All of them with muslim backgrounds and many from relatively low wage jobs.   All who claim that a mysterious & forgotten “friend” asked them to contribute the money.

How does he get donations from such esteemed sources?

“I have a lot of Arab business partners. I do a lot of business in the Middle East. I’ve got a lot of friends,” Sargeant told the [Washington] Post. “I ask my friends to support candidates that I think are worthy of supporting. They usually come through for me.”   These friends include his business partner, a citizen of Jordan and brother-in-law to the King of Jordan.   And this is where it really gets interesting.

IOTC stands for INTERNATIONAL OIL TRADING COMPANY and it has over a billion dollars in contracts with the US Defense Department to supply fuel to Iraq.   The website ProPublica reports:

The company, which had not done any government work before it first won that contract in 2004, signed a two-year extension worth $913 million in 2007. But there have been difficulties. The contract requires that the fuel be brought through Jordan to Iraq — meaning only the company with a “letter of authorization” from the Jordanian government could have stood a chance. …, IOTC managed that feat by striking a deal with the king of Jordan’s brother-in-law. Even though other companies bid on the contract, and IOTC was not the lowest bidder, IOTC was the only one with authorization and so won the contract. (The brother-in-law is suing IOTC, claiming he was cut out of the spoils. He wants $13 million for his trouble.)”

Congress has opened up an investigation into the activities of IOTC to see if there were issues with the setup for the contract and if the government is being overcharged for the fuel.   Sargeant  insists that the contract is “in the best interest of the military and the U.S. taxpayers.”    That remains to be seen.    But there is no doubt that many of the political contributions he “bundled” are illegal under US laws that prevent foreigners from contributing to campaigns.    In fact over $50,000 have been returned from the campaign to charity.

This is a smoking gun.  If we allow overseas Muslims to illegally control the outcome of this election and install Obama as a puppet, the future of this country is in grave doubt.  It is imperative that we stop this and see that Harry Sargeant is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Lay off McCain

with 2 comments

Two great war heroes had a dialogue yesterday about Iraq and all the media can talk about is that John McCain can’t tell Sunnis and Shiites apart.  I saw this clip on Youtube and I have contacted the administrators of that site to have it removed as seditious.  Now, when you get a little older sometimes you have trouble with small details or remembering the right name for something, but McCain knows his stuff when it comes to foreign policy.  Now for those of you who need a refresher, here are the definitions:

Sunnis: Radical Islamists who are trying to kill us

Shiites: Radical Islamists who are trying to kill us

Gee, I can’t see why he’d get those two confused.
